Probiotics are "friendly" microorganisms that normally colorize the gut and the world "Pro-Biotic" literally means, "For Life". There are normally trillions of microorganisms living within the healthy human intestinal tract, and are considered to be "symbiotic", meaning that they live in harmony with humans, and for their mutual benefit. These microorganisms ormally consist of both yeast and bacterial species, including Streptococcus, Lactobacillus, and Bifidobacterium bacteria.*
